HOW (NOT) TO RECEIVE GOD'S GRACE IN VAIN
1 Corinthians 15:10
But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
PAUL CONFESSED THAT HE LABOURED (OR WORKED) SO MUCH... BY GRACE.
So, he taught us how to do this.
Fellow workers together with Christ do it by GRACE ONLY.
2Co 6:1 — 2Co 6:2
6 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain. (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
PAUL SAID, WHAT WE RECEIVED ON THAT DAY OF SALVATION (GRACE), BEHOLD, IS WHAT YOU NEED EVERY NOW AND THEN.
Read it again, '...I HAVE HEARD thee in the day of salvation... Behold, NOW is the day of salvation.'
RECEIVING GOD'S GRACE IN VAIN IS WHEN YOU DO NOT LEARN TO RECEIVE (OR APPROPRIATE) THE SAME GRACE THAT SAVED YOU THEN EVEN NOW.
It's still Grace all the way!
