In the realm of the Spirit, most years begin in March.
How do I know?
Well, we pick these things and we can't fully explain them. But at least, you know organizations have 'financial years' that may differ from the conventional year. So there are 'spiritual years' too.
But 2016 will start early. Say January.
Let's leave that for now.
Spiritually, you need to get down to business early this year.
And I am led to suggest a few gadgets that will enable you navigate this year accurately. Amen.
Righteousness. Holiness. Godliness.
I will make them simple enough.
Righteousness
Righteousness to the believer is Life.
Too basic. If you don't have it you are dead. This Righteousness is of God in Christ Jesus.
Just like life is a gift. You just live it.
Some live long. Some short. Some lives are taken. Some live carelessly. Some are just fortunate to still be alive. Others are just unfortunate to be dead.
Life is too basic. An animal has life anyway. But life is too important. Be all the man you can be if you die, you will be tidied away.
So what qualifies a man to be around here on earth is life. What qualifies a man to be in God's Kingdom here on earth is Righteousness.
So are you saved by Jesus Christ?
Holiness
Holiness is like personal hygiene. While life is basic, you can do a lot to enhance it. It is one thing that to be alive, it is another to be healthy. Some healthy people still die anyway so, understand this. But life is lived better with health. We can agree on that.
So is Holiness. A believer who is the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus can either live a healthy or an unhealthy life. Holiness is that aspect of the Kingdom life that promotes and enhances our walk with God.
How do I explain this further?
Abstaining from sin by the grace of God is being holy. I am just saying it pays.
If life is basic man and animal, a number of attributes separate man from animal. And take note, some men are more animal than man. Our goals as human is to be so far away from being animals. That's what Holiness does for the believer. Okay.
Godliness.
Life. Human. Manly.
Now a few men are more manly than others. Oh, just check the biceps. Check out the muscles. Check the six packs. They come by some extra efforts beyond personal hygiene.
The stronger man has an edge over the healthy man. For it is safe to assume you will first be healthy to be strong.
Godliness therefore is like exercise where you build that spiritual tenacity and ruggedness. Where you take it further beyond just being healthy to being mighty.
This is the man that will glide throughout 2016.
And guess what. It can happen all by Grace.
Grace is gift. But like every gift, it should be received.
Two areas where the believer can receive Grace and increase his capacity for more are;
1. Knowing God through His word
2. Prayer.
I have said too much for the wise.
It is a beautiful year, I insist.
